Aron Matschulat Aguiar is a director and producer with over 12 years of experience in animation, filmmaking and storytelling. He started his career at the renowned studio LOBO, where he produced and later directed award-winning projects for global brands. His work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, One Show and Ciclope, including a Clio for Film Craft with 3D Tragedies in 2019.
In 2023, he joined Moonbug Entertainment as an episodic director on Little Angel, one of the most-watched preschool series in the world. Today, working independently, Aron brings together creativity, structure and emotion to tell stories that connect across formats and audiences.
Aron’s animation work blends strong storytelling with visual craft. At LOBO, he directed and produced high-end films using 2D, 3D, mixed media and motion graphics for brands and agencies across the globe. His projects were featured at festivals like Ciclope, D&AD and LIA, and are known for their clarity, charm and expressive style.
At Moonbug, he directed episodes of Little Angel, helping shape engaging, music-driven stories for children while collaborating with international teams and showrunners.
Aron has directed over 15 short films and one feature-length documentary, working across genres from drama and comedy to experimental and documentary formats. He enjoys balancing author-driven projects with commercially oriented narratives, always aiming for strong visuals, emotional resonance and solid storytelling.
His work includes titles like (re)começo, Egos, Eu Sou Filha Dela and the Diários trilogy. His films have been selected for festivals such as Aesthetica, Dumbo Film Festival and MADRIFF, and have aired nationally on Canal Brasil. A member of the Brazilian Academy of Motion Pictures, Aron continues to develop new independent films and original series projects.
